We are proud to say that we follow all the recommendations of the IAOMT, International Academy of Oral Medicine and Toxicology.

During the removal process, several precautions are necessary for the patient, including a nose mask for breathing oxygen, a rubber dam to cover the patient’s mouth, a lot of water coming from the drill to keep the amalgam filling cool, and special high speed suction.  To decrease the amount of vapor, we section the fillings out in chunks as opposed to grinding it out.

It is our goal to make sure that our patients as well as our staff are safe during the removal process.
